Ballycastle, Co Antrim.
Ballycastle belongs to one of the most glorious stretches of links land in all of Ireland. One of Ireland's true hidden gems. The course is a unique golfing challenge in that it covers both parkland and links holes. The first five holes are flanked by the Rivers Margy and Carey with various trees and natural hills as the main landscape with the 12th century Bon-a-Margy abbey ruins providing an historical out of bounds. From hole six onwards you are presented with some outstanding links golf holes running alongside the strand and between gorse and sand dunes encompassing impressive views of the famous North Antrim Coastline, Scotland and the hills of Donegal.

Mention golf in the North of Ireland and two courses dominate the conversation. Royal Co. Down & Royal Portrush enjoy a special niche all to themselves and are regularly and justifiably placed at the top of polls voting on the world's best links. Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke and Graeme McDowell honed their skills on these two World class layouts but there are other fine links courses in the region that will be a test for any golfer.
