County Sligo Golf Club | April 3-7
Welcome to Rosses Point, where sky-scraping peaks, golden sands and glistening waves frame the scintillating Colt Championship Links.
This is County Sligo Golf Club – a fertile proving ground for future greats.
Padraig Harrington, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry all won the West of Ireland Amateur Open on their path to Major glory.
Unofficially, the Spring event marks the start of the Irish golf season, and it rarely disappoints.
Nor does the high-octane course at Sligo, which has been receiving the Martin Ebert treatment.
In 2025, 18-year-old Dylan Holmes navigated ferocious conditions to defeat veteran Colm Campbell in an unforgettable final.
Seapoint Golf Links | May 7-10
When it comes to the 2026 golf tournaments in Ireland, May (an underrated window to book your trip) will be tough to top, with three mouthwatering contests on the bill.
First, the prestigious Irish Men’s Amateur Open at the increasingly acclaimed Seapoint Golf Links.
For the second successive season, the event comes to the windswept shores of Termonfeckin Beach on the east coast.
Last year, hometown hero Stuart Grehan staged a final-day comeback for the ages at a jam-packed Seapoint.
Starting tied for fourth, Grehan shot 66 to overcome a four-shot deficit before defeating Lewy Hayward in a heart-stopping playoff.
Royal Portrush Golf Club | May 13-15
You probably watched Scottie Scheffler claim the Claret Jug with his masterful performance at The 153rd Open.
And what a canvas Northern Ireland provided.
The spellbinding Dunluce links offers you savage beauty, sublime turf, and a searing test of power and precision…
Certainly, the competitors in the 72-hole North of Ireland Amateur Open have their work cut out with Royal Portrush – and the opportunity to shine.
In 2025, at the thrilling Portstewart, Caolan Rafferty made history with a dramatic victory that saw him become the first winner of all four provincial championships.
Even Rory couldn’t manage that Grand Slam!
County Louth Golf Club | May 29-31
Just north of Dublin, on the same heavenly stretch of linksland as Seapoint, you’ll find beautiful Baltray.
Named after the nearby village, that’s how locals refer to County Louth Golf Club, the venue for the East of Ireland Amateur Open.
Though a two-time Irish Open host, Baltray remains oddly unknown to many visiting golfers.
But this scenic, endlessly enjoyable links belongs on your must-play list.
Last year, following a rollercoaster final round, David Howard needed to birdie his final putt to seal the ‘East’ by a single stroke.
He joined Darren Clarke on the roll of honour at County Louth.
The Island Golf Club | June 22
Technically, this next event is not listed among the 2026 golf tournaments in Ireland.
However, the winners will move a step closer to one of the most coveted spots in the game.
There are many roads to The 154th Open Championship, and the Regional Qualifiers offer local amateurs and professionals a route to the world stage.
On June 22, across 15 venues in Ireland and the UK, golfers will vie for places in the Final Qualifying events.
For the Irish hopefuls, it will require a stellar showing at an otherworldly layout among the dunes of Dublin, The Island Golf Club.
Tralee Golf Club | July 3-5
Finally, the tournament that bears his name comes to the thoroughly astounding links that bear his signature.
Tralee Golf Club – The King’s first European design – will host the 30th Arnold Palmer Cup between 24 of the finest male and female collegiate golfers on the planet.
It’s the United States team versus the International team in a matchplay, Ryder Cup-style format. The latter prevailed in 2025, though the former holds the overall advantage.
Tralee, which rarely stages organised events, becomes the sixth Irish venue to hold the star-making Arnold Palmer Cup.
That illustrious list includes Ballybunion and Royal County Down.
Lahinch Golf Club | July 22-26
From Kerry to Clare.
The stunning Southwest, a magical links paradise, will welcome its fair share of the 2026 golf tournaments in Ireland.
And, as ever, throngs of travelling golfers.
The storied South of Ireland Amateur Open unfolds on the iconic Old Course at Lahinch Golf Club.
Dating back to 1895, the Championship counts Paul McGinley and Graeme McDowell among its previous winners.
As for Lahinch, well, the St Andrews of Ireland is a mesmerising natural links course that flows through rolling terrain and thunderous dunes along lovely Liscannor Bay.
What else would you expect from Morris, MacKenzie, and Hawtree?
The K Club | August 27-30
The 2025 Women’s Irish Open will likely be remembered as the watershed moment in a gilded career.
Lottie Wood, then the world’s No.1 amateur, blew away the field at Carton House with a six-stroke victory – her first in the professional ranks.
Incredibly, Wood’s status meant her winner’s cheque went to the runner-up.
In 2026, another well-known golf resort in County Kildare will welcome the tournament.
The 7,300-yard South Course at The K Club (also from the Arnold Palmer portfolio) is packed with crafty bunkers, excellent water hazards, dune-style mounding, and slanted greens.
Unquestionably, whoever prevails will have earned it.
Lahinch Golf Club | September 5-6
Arguably, of all the unmissable 2026 golf tournaments in Ireland, the 51st Walker Cup is the most anticipated.
The pinnacle of amateur team golf comes to the Emerald Isle for just the third time and sees Lahinch join Portmarnock and Royal County Down in the pantheon of great venues to stage the biennial event.
What an occasion for Irish golf.
That said, the omens are less than promising for the Great Britain and Ireland team. In 2025, the USA contingent won their fifth consecutive Walker Cup.
Perhaps the history, heritage and sheer splendour of Lahinch will inspire an unlikely upset.
Trump International Golf Links | September 9-13
Only days after the Walker Cup, some 30 miles south of Lahinch along the glorious Wild Atlantic Way, the Irish Open gets underway at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg.
Needless to say, September 2026 is set to be a landmark month for golf in enchanting County Clare.
The Irish Open – won so spectacularly by Rory in 2025 – is always a highlight on the DP World Tour and tends to give travelling golfers FOMO!
Notably, this season, it returns to a links course for the sixth time in 12 years.
Expect twists, turns, dunes, and drama at delightful Doonbeg.
You’ve just seen the exquisite links courses that await you. Beyond the fairways, across seaside towns and good-time cities, Ireland also offers you heavenly hotels, incredible attractions, and lively pubs.
Now is the time to secure your ultimate golfing adventure for 2026.
